Tottenham Hotspur topped Sport Positive’s 2021 Green League which is published to highlight the sustainability initiatives of England’s top-flight clubs. Spurs and Liverpool scored 23 out of 24 points thanks to measures like reducing single-use plastic and landfill waste and using locally-sourced food produce. Tottenham players travel to matches on coaches powered by biofuel and have installed a vegetable garden and bat-friendly barn at their training ground. Tottenham Hotspur is the only team in the premier league to have a sustainable transport policy and the first team to host a net zero game in 2021. They have committed to halve their carbon emissions by 2030.
