Elland Road Stadium Crowd Flow Analysis

Leeds United FC

Tim Spencer & Co was commissioned to undertake a technical assessment of the future crowd flow patterns that would exist following the implementation of the phased development of the East Stand Extension at Elland Road Stadium – the Home of Leeds United Football Club.  The proposals included a hotel complex, superstore, nightclub, a covered arcade with shops, bars and restaurants, an office block and extended and improved facilities for the club’s Conference and Events business.

A detailed demand, capacity and level-of-service assessment was carried out and it was concluded that extension proposals would not lead to any crowd flow issues that would cause a reduction in the level of service for spectators.  Planning consent was subsequently granted in April 2009.
